The Ayurveda Tea Subscription is here!

I'm so excited to share that I have officially launched the Sol Bloom monthly tea subscription! For just $30 a month you will have a tri-doshic tea blend shipped to your door that has an intentional purpose towards healing.

Rooted in Ayurveda principles

This subscription is going to be different than any other tea subscription on the market. You see, in Ayurveda we modify our diet, lifestyle, and daily habits depending on the season and time of year. A summertime diet will be different than a winter diet no matter if you are Vata, Pitta, or Kapha.

You also want to work with different herbs during different times of the year. For example, you wouldn't want to work with extremely cooling herbs in the middle of a fridged winter (unless you have a severe Pitta imbalance that calls for this).

September's Ayurveda Tea Blend

The first blend of the tea sunscription is called 'Vacation from Vacation.'

When I was thinking about the intention behind this first blend it was all about finding the pause, or re-set button. You know when you go on Vacation and you indulge in all the things. Maybe thats alcohol, fatty foods, eating out every meal, staying up late, being on the go more often than normal. Well for most, that is all of summer.

Vacation from Vacation tea blend is finding the vacation from the summer vacation you've had for the past several months.

Pitta Accumulates Over Summer

During the summer months when it's hot, Pitta is naturally elevated during summer. It's qualities, depending on where you live, can feel hot, intense, sharp, humid, and oily.

You may experience more skin issues such as acne on the cheeks and forehead, oily skin, rashes, rosacea may flare up or have a redness to the skin, and you may notice your skin isn't as dry as the winter time.

Our liver is also overtaxed in summer with the indulgence of alcohol, sugar, processed foods, the delicious BBQ type foods, or eating out more often.

Our blood is heated and may even have ama (toxins) because of our diet and lifestyle.

You may even notice that summer felt more intense in terms of emotions, goal setting, or even more sharp in speech with family members. This is why it's the perfect time for vacation because if we don't slow down we are going to burn out.

The Herbs

The herbs included in this blend are super intentional to help reduce the Pitta heat that has accumulated in the blood and organs.

These herbs will work in unison to cleanse and clear the blood. They will gently detox the liver, gallbladder, and kidneys of the sludge or ama that may have accumulated. Since the skin is one of our detox pathways, you will notice that that your skin may start to clear up towards the end of your bag.

Skullcap

Skullcap is an amazing herb for reducing Pitta like emotions such as anger and criticalness. It's also great at combating anxiety and depression.

Nettle

Nettle has detoxifying actions for the liver. It also has rejuvenate actions towards the kidneys and adrenals. It helps reduce inflammation that can how up such as arthritis and gout. Nettle is rich in calcium and iron which are important for the blood and bones.

Dandelion

I love working with dandelion! It is anti-inflammatory and blood cleansing. It helps cleanse the gallbladder which is important for producing healthy bile to help us break down fats. It can also help reduce cholesterol and detox the liver.

Milk Thistle

Milk thistle is great for removing ama (toxins) from the body and especially cleansing the liver. Milk thistle works great when working with any liver conditions, acne, or diabetes.

Passionflower

Passionflower is cooling so it's great for Pitta heat. It helps with sleep, anxiety disorders, and other forms of restlessness.

Marshmallow

Marshmallow is a demulcent herb which means it lubricates inflammation. Pitta heat tends to lead towards burn out or depleted tissues. Marshmallow helps to reduce inflammation and amp up the hydration. It's also great for the skin.

Chamomile

Chamomile is deeply calming and soothing. It's great for soothing the gut. I also love using chamomile to build the overall resiliency of the nervous system. You may be familiar with chamomile by drinking a cup before bedtime but if you were to work with this amazing herb for longer periods of time it actually strengthens the nervous system.
